The Unseen Advantages of the AquAid Hot Water Boiler

The Unseen Advantages of the AquAid Hot Water Boiler

The simplest route to keep warm when it’s cold is to drink hot water. Bold statement, can we back it up?

We can. Aside from all the usual solutions to keep ourselves warm – layered clothing, closed shoes, hats – drinking a hot drink (even if it’s gently heated water, say with a squeeze of lemon) can raise the body’s temperature almost immediately.

Drinking hot water provides other benefits too:

*Relieves nasal congestion. According to a 2008 study, drinking a hot drink, such as tea, provided quick, lasting relief from a runny nose, coughing, sore throat and tiredness. The hot drink was more effective than the same drink at room temperature.

*Helps reduce toxins. Drinking hot water temporarily raises your internal body temperature.  Your body’s endocrine system activates and you start to sweat. While sweating might be uncomfortable, it’s an essential part of getting rid of toxins and irritants we are exposed to in our environment. According to the Arthritis Foundation, drinking water is important for flushing toxins out of your body. It can help fight inflammation, keep the joints well lubricated and prevent gout.

*Can assist with weight loss. As your body compensates for the warm temperature of the water, it brings your internal temperature down and activates your metabolism. A small 2003 study reported that switching from cold water to hot water could help people lose weight through this thermic effect.

How do all of these benefits tie in with AquAid Hot Water Boilers? Very well, as it turns out.

When at work, waiting for the kettle to boil can be a lengthy process. Constantly boiling the kettle also uses more electricity, so getting your hot drink can be costly and counter-productive.

When you install an AquAid hot water boiler, an unlimited supply of filtered, boiling drinking water is kept at the perfect hot drink temperature throughout the working day, whether in the office, workspace or school. Furthermore, AquAid’s range of hot water boilers provide for a draw of piping hot water of anything from 12 mugs from the Eco WallFit Water Boiler at one draw, up to a 40 mug draw from the Eco Large Fill Water Boiler.

Speak to us at AquAid today so you too can benefit from the unseen advantages of installing a hot water boiler.

AquAid Water Dispensers – Hydration for All Seasons

AquAid Water Dispensers – Hydration for All Seasons

As we head into cooler climes, having a constant supply of refreshing drinking water, both hot and cold, becomes all the more important. However, waiting for the kettle to boil when we’re busy working not only interrupts work flow, it also reduces our ability to work efficiently and repeatedly boiling a kettle is time-consuming, costs money and wastes electricity.

Whether you require a hot drinking water supply for a small, medium or large staff contingent, you can rely on AquAid. We offer a stylish, high-quality range of hot and cold water dispensers and hot water boilers designed to ably meet your organisation’s drinking water capacity demands, all while saving you time, money and energy.

One example is the AquAid Eco Compact Water Boiler. Designed specifically to fit in-between the standard distance between worktops and kitchen units, this well-designed water boiler produces a rapid 5ℓ draw off – providing sufficient piping hot water to fill 20 mugs in in one draw.

If the demand requires an even larger hot water draw, then the AquAid Eco LargeFlow is the perfect option. With its 10ℓ rapid draw off and ability to produce 30ℓ piping hot water per hour, this UK designed and made water boiler is perfect for installation in any medium to large sized workspace with a larger staff contingent.

Each of the AquAid Eco range also features a built-in ECO mode that reduces electricity consumption, thereby saving money and helping the environment.

These Eco Boilers are but two of AquAid’s range of cost-saving, efficient, reduced electricity usage hot water dispensers. For more of the hot water range, browse our range or send us your enquiry online. Alternatively, please call us on 0800 772 3003 or e-mail: info@aquaidwatercoolers.co.uk

Are all Water Cooler Suppliers the same?

Are all Water Cooler Suppliers the same?

We don’t believe so. There is a multitude of water cooler suppliers in the UK.  What sets AquAid apart are the inclusions integral to what we provide with each watercooler purchase. These aren’t add-ons – although we offer those too – these are inclusions that we and many satisfied customers believe to be what makes AquAid the preferred water cooler supplier across the UK.

So you have now had your brand new high-quality water cooler installed and your first question is:

We have a Bottled Water Cooler – how often will I get a water delivery?

Depending on the size of your business and usage, we offer a variety of delivery schedules. We therefore offer weekly, fortnightly and monthly bottled water deliveries to meet your hydration requirements.

What if we run out of water?

AquAid offers all our customers a free-of-charge emergency service should you run out of water. We know the importance of keeping hydrated and will always do our best to avoid situations that will leave you without any drinking water.

How often will my water cooler be serviced and do I have to call to book the service?

As per the WHA guidelines, we sanitise all Bottled Water Coolers every 3 months and Mainsfed Water Coolers are serviced every 6 months. These services are performed by our experienced WHA accredited service technicians and should take no longer than 20 minutes of your time. You do not need to remind us to service your machine. Our systems automatically let us know as and when your machines are due for their service.

Hmm, fair enough … but I am a little concerned about how this bottled water is getting to us in terms of your carbon footprint. Is my AquAid local?

It most definitely is – AquAid have 23 distribution points across the UK, which means that your water cooler, water and water cups deliveries; as well as your water cooler maintenance and servicing all originates from your local AquAid branch.

Now, the biggie – what else sets AquAid apart from other water cooler suppliers?

Since AquAid began operating over two decades ago, we believed and continue to believe, that donating to charities that provide sustainable solutions for those less fortunate is vitally important to a successful business.

We are understandably proud of our association with the charities that we work with. With every bottle of water that we supply, 30p is donated to The Africa Trust along with a £20 annual donation on each Mains Fed Water Cooler installation. Christian Aid also receives a 10p donation with every bottle of water that we supply. Some twenty-two years on, we are proud to report that the current total donation figure is in excess of £16 million pounds.

Water Cooler Health: How Listening is Good for You

Water Cooler Health: How Listening is Good for You

It comes as no surprise that there are many of us who are experiencing increased eyestrain over the last few (years) months.

The catchphrase ‘Netflix and chill’ has taken on an entirely new meaning (and a probably one is that more apt); we have our eyes glued to screens without a break for countless hours – all of which is understandable considering current circumstances.

Eventually though, we reach a point of critical overload, with our brains fizzing and our eyes burning as we binge watch yet another series, all seasons of our favourite shows from before, every conceivable YouTube channel saved to Watch Later – it all becomes a bit much.

The good news is there is a wonderful solution – one where you can rest your weary peepers – relax (or not) and still feel a little more involved and engaged with the world ‘out there’.

Listening. Yep, that’s it. Just listen. Your choice of listening material is entirely yours. Whether you prefer the soothing tones of meditative audio, the evocative story telling of your favourite books, read by some of the best voices in the business (a personal favourite being Stuart MacBride narrating books he wrote) or audio of nature at her best, listening instead of listening and watching can be a tonic for your eyes, body and soul.

Of course, we wouldn’t be us if we didn’t sneak in a mention about one of the simplest routes to better health – yep, you guessed it: wherever you are, whatever you’re doing (or not doing), make sure you drink enough water. We say this as proper hydration is key to good cognitive and all over body function.

While you head out (figuratively, not literally) on your listening journey, it’s good to bear in mind that at AquAid, we continue to operate responsibly. Whether you need your Bottle-Fed water cooler topped up, a delivery of refreshing bottled water or want to install the latest from our range of Touch-Free Water Coolers, contact us. We’re listening.

AquAid Water Coolers: How We Help Our Environment

AquAid Water Coolers: How We Help Our Environment

As today is the International Day for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer, we decided to highlight a number of other possibly lesser-known advantages you benefit from when you install water coolers from AquAid.

Kinder to the environment

By using a water cooler dispenser, you are helping to protect our environment. We use billions of individual plastic water bottles each year and millions end up in our rubbish each day. By drinking water from a re-usable water bottle and refilling our water bottles from a water cooler, we can significantly reduce this number. This means that you can still enjoy the convenience of having water with you at all times and be safe in the knowledge that you are lessening the harmful impact on the environment.

More branches local to you

With more than 23 branches positioned across the UK, our multiple distribution centres allow us to be nearer to our customers – shorter delivery distances reduce fuel usage and associated carbon emissions.

Water from source

Our three sources of mineral and spring water, one each in England, Northern Ireland and Scotland, were all selected in large part due their central locations, which reduces the carbon footprint associated with the deliveries to our depots.

Creates opportunity and hope

At AquAid, an integral component of our business is helping those in need. This core belief is illustrated in each installation of our Mainsfed Water Coolers and each purchase of Bottled Water. We donate a portion of these revenues to charities that implement safe, sustainable water resources throughout Africa.

Whatever your water cooler requirements are, AquAid have over twenty two years of experience in the provision of the right AquAid water cooler for your work space – wherever you’re situated and whatever space you occupy throughout England, Northern Ireland and Scotland.
